As we grow, we are looking for a Connections Director to lead the vision for welcoming, engaging, and connecting attendees into the life of Generate, the wider church community, and through prayer ministry. This role ensures every guest experiences meaningful relationships, discipleship opportunities, and spiritual support.

Position Overview

The Connections Director oversees all aspects of guest experience, community engagement, prayer ministry, and relationships with partner churches. This role leads teams, develops systems, and creates experiences that guide people from first-time guests to fully invested members and leaders, helping them connect within Generate, through prayer, in the broader Kingdom community, and with partner churches.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the Guest Services, Connections, and Prayer Teams, ensuring a welcoming and spiritually supportive environment at all gatherings and events.

  • Develop and implement strategies to connect first-time guests, regular attenders, and members into community groups, volunteer teams, leadership opportunities, and Kingdom-wide networks.

  • Create and maintain systems for tracking guest engagement, follow-ups, and integration into both Generate and the wider church community.

  • Develop and implement prayer initiatives to support attendees, volunteers, and the broader community.

  • Communicate and maintain strong relationships with partner churches, ensuring alignment, collaboration, and ongoing engagement.

  • Partner with leadership and ministry teams to identify and mobilize volunteers to serve in guest experience, small groups, and prayer ministry.

  • Train, mentor, and empower team leaders and volunteers to excel in their roles, especially in prayer, relational care, and community engagement.

  • Collaborate with social media and communications teams to support engagement, connection, and prayer initiatives online.

  • Innovate new ways to foster community, hospitality, and relational engagement across all ministry touchpoints, grounded in prayer and spiritual care.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Strong relational and interpersonal skills; able to connect with diverse populations.

  • Experience in volunteer leadership and team development.

  • Ability to develop systems for engagement, follow-up, and community building.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to represent Generate to partner churches and external networks.

  • Passion for ministry, church culture, and cultivating spiritual growth in others.

  • Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Self-motivated and collaborative, able to thrive in a team-centered, fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in church, nonprofit, or ministry leadership.

  • Experience with small groups, discipleship programs, or volunteer mobilization.

  • Experience with prayer ministry or pastoral care.

  • Experience with church management software, CRM systems, or digital engagement tools.
